Ofsted Inspection reports

“Flax Bourton is a little gem.” “We are very lucky that our children go here.” Comments such as these demonstrate the high level of confidence that parents and carers have in the school.  Several praise the caring ethos and high degree of attention given to meeting their children’s needs.  Their confidence is justified.  Pastoral care is a particular strength of the school and all staff know individual pupils well.

Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools

All Church of England dioceses and the Methodist Church use the National Society’s framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005. The framework sets out the expectations for the conduct of the Statutory Inspection of Anglican, Methodist and ecumenical Schools under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005.

The framework provides a process for evaluating the extent to which church schools are “distinctively and recognisably Christian institutions”.  To read our latest inspection report please click on this link.
